Social Responsibility
We have increased the standard of living of all of our workers. We have a first aid clinic with an onsite nurse that can be used by our workers and the public in general. We sell low cost medicine so people can have access to generic high quality medicine. Our workers have additional benefits than what is required by Guatemalan law:
1. Interest free loans
2. Education grants
3. Onsite access to eye, dental and nutrition health care.
4. Workshops on hygiene, family planning, STD prevention, occupational safety, and hydration.
We strongly value the communities that surround us. At the moment we have 4 neighboring villages, Tierra Colorada, Toquela, Monte Alegre, Choconcito. We are in constant communication with community leaders to support them. We have contributed with many projects that have had a high impact with improving the living standard of people living in these villages. Some examples of this are the following projects:
- Monte Alegre bridge repair.
- Tierra Colorada water system upgrade.
- Paint and roof repairs for all villages schools
- Tierra Colorada church perimeter construction
These are just some examples of the projects that Kampura has contributed in order to improve the living conditions of the communities that surround us. We have set the ambitious goal to eliminate child malnutrition in the communities that surround us.
