Rubber
Natural rubber comes from the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis. It only grows in the so-called rubber belt. The tropical regions in which rubber grows are often characterized by a high biodiversity (Biodiversity Hotspots). In order to get the latex, workers carve into the rind so that the juice can come out.
We have created a natural rubber forest of over 500 Hectares. We are proud to have created such a large forest in an area that was deforested. We are currently selling carbon offsets in the voluntary market from our rubber plantation. We can measure the environmental impact we have made over the years from our project.
